The Cowichan Kayak and Canoe club is a nonprofit organization established in 1994 and later incorporated under the B.C Society Act in May 2000. The current club membership consists of approximately 50 paddlers ranging in skill level from beginner to advanced. The club organizes a variety of activities to encourage the development of paddling skills and enjoyment of a sport that is increasing in popularity. Activities include organized day trips, multi-day kayak/camping adventures and training safety sessions.
